A total solar eclipse will cross part of Algeria on 2 August 2027. Within the path of totality, the Moon will completely cover the Sun for a brief and remarkable moment.
The exact observation site matters. Totality, its duration and local timings depend on precise coordinates; a region or city name alone cannot guarantee them.
We are shaping a journey around this moment and everything that gives it meaning. Observation sites, trip length and services will be shared once the programme has been confirmed.

On 2 August 2027. Algeria lies along the path of the total eclipse, but only part of the country will experience totality. Local timings and duration will be provided for the selected observation site.
No. These are regions currently under consideration. The decision will depend on observation sites, accommodation, access and contingency options. The programme will be announced after validation.
The final format is still being developed. We want the journey to give Algeria a meaningful place around the eclipse. Its length and itinerary will be shared with the confirmed programme.
